I love fashion and I love fast cars so you can imagine my excitement when the invite reached my inbox to attend the prestigious Bond themed fashion show held at London’s Old Billingsgate Hall.
Prestige Fashion show in collaboration with and acting as the fashion part of the London Yacht, Jet and Car Show. While entering into the venue I was pleasantly created with every style car, in a wide array of colours. They were they type of cars that make you know you have arrived. The kind that keep you motivated to keep grinding so you can evidently, one day see one of these beauties parked up on your driveway with a chauffeur named Oscar standing ready and to attention (well you have to allow a gal to dream!)
The forecourt was decorated with cars including Porsche’s, Lamborghini and Bugatti’s to name but a few. The were a sign of sheer decadence and wealth. In fact, the entire venue was just that; a declaration of wealth. The finest yachts and cars where on show and set the scene perfectly for the evenings events.
I was very excited to witness the ‘Bond Themed’ fashion show. The red carpet had already been laid and I found the perfect spot to capture all the red carpet looks when they shimmied into the fore.
The Car, Yacht and Jet show was in fact a three day spectacle which was open for fashion buyers, general consumers and the press alike could visit the fashion designers.
The 3rd and final day where I was in attendance was a vast delight as Irina Dobbs (one of the powerhouses behind UFFR-collaborators with Prestige) opened the show with a presentation of Irina’s Fase di Moda collection which was made in collaboration with Jane Taylor, a long time favourite designer of the Royal family.
Before we were blown away by the elegant and stylish fashion dresses and lingerie we were entertained by bond themed dancers.
As Summer is well on its way, it was great for the show to open with sexy but undoubtedly classy swimwear collections from Amorai, PGM Fashion, Fase Di Moda and Komplique. The bright and vibrant beach pieces were gorgeous and there were a number of pieces that I wish I could get my hands on. Each swimsuit collection was different from the next, from gemstone embellished two pieces to cut out full suits. There were swimsuits on show to suit all figures.
I was extremely excited to see the next part of the show which was dedicated to lingerie. With collections from Sonata Rapalyte who had their beautiful pieces draped in the most beautiful jewellery from the world-renowned jewellery brand Elvya Design and gorgeous pieces from Raine & Bea. The lingerie segment was by far my favourite part.
I am a major lover of jackets so was more than in love and awe of the hand embroided jackets amongst dresses and skirts from Nidhi Yasha. I also heavily appreciated the cocktail dresses and trouser tops that were bold and eye catching in their overall design. A special mention has to go out to Nana e’el’ by Nanaaleo for their gorgeous and elegantly hand-knitted dresses.
Although, the show ran behind schedule and it was tedious waiting around; particularly in high heels! The Prestige was a highly professional show and once it commenced it was well worth the wait. It was a phenomenal show were some of the best in the business.
